Crows and Cranes
Grade Level: K - 5
Equipment Needed: None
Have students stand on 2 lines facing one another (about 3 yards apart). Assign each side as either a Crow or a Crane. Teacher will call out Crows or Cranes. If the teacher says Crows, the Crows must chase the Cranes and try to tag them before they reach the baseline behind them. If a Crane is caught then they join the Crows. Same goes if Cranes is called. Play until all the students are on one side, or time runs out.
Everybody's It
Grade-2 - 5

Every student is a tagger. Anyone can tag anyone. If a student gets tagged they must sit criss cross applesauce, but can try and tag people if they come by them, If 2 people tag at the same time, they must play Rock, Paper, Scissors to see who is out. If 2 people are playing Rock, Paper, Scissors then they can not be tagged. Students must back away from them and wait for them to complete. Eventually there will only be 1 person left standing.
- Variations: If a students is sitting down and they tag someone who is still up, then they may get up and be back in the game. If the teacher calls Jail Brake, then everyone who is out, is back in.

Students should spread out around the gym and stand on a line (tape) Pick 2 students to be the pac-man/women and shave the stand in the middle of the gym on a line, and with a noodle. On the teacher signal pac-men try to tag the other students. All students must stay on the lines, you can walk/run on other lines, as long as they are connected. If tagged they sit on the line and become a road block. Pac-man can go past road blocks.
Sharks and Minnows
Grade: K - 5
Equipment Needed: Pool Noodles
Students should be divided into at least 6 groups. Students will sit in a line behind a cone with their group. Pick 2 - 4 students to be the sharks. Sharks start in the middle of the ocean (gym). Minnows start at one side of the ocean (baseline). When the teacher blows the whistle or says "go" the first student in each groups attempts to swim (run) to the other side of the ocean. The sharks try to tag the students. If a student gets tagged they become seaweed (get a long noodle and stand where they get tagged and try to tag minnows that come by, but they can not move their feet). When every students has attempted to make it across the ocean, the teacher then allows the students to run back until every minnow has been caught. The last 2-4 left become the new sharks in the next game.
- Variations: If tagged, the students sit criss cross applesauce and try to tag people that come by, students sit against the wall until a new game starts.
